In Socheat's solo exhibition “Why do I ?” she turned back to her childhood in rural Cambodia, where she was surrounded by superstition, traditional beliefs and rituals. Back then, she had many questions such as why is it sin (អំពើបាប - bab in Khmer) if a woman touches a monk – and many of them were left unanswered both by her family and the people in the village.
