Koem Keo Socheat is an artist from Kampot Province in south Cambodia. Her parents are farmers and she the first person in her home village as well as in her extended family to study at university level. She lives currently in Phnom Penh.

 

Socheat graduated from the Royal University of Fine Arts – RUFA – in 2018 and has been working as an independent artist since. She has also been teaching art to individual students. Socheat works in many different mediums of art, oil and water colour painting, sculpture, pen and pencil drawing and textile.

Socheat has had several solo exhibitions in Phnom Penh as well as participated in group exhibitions.

​

Her deep interest in philosophy, religion, the Dhamma and reality of life are the fundament of her art.

​

Socheat is also a compassionated animal lover.
